Invitation: Friends of M Campbell & Co 150th Anniversary Reunion
Saturday 1st September 2012
Come along and enjoy an evening a reminiscing with friends and fellow employees of the famous M. Campbell & Co empire that stretched across the Upper Hunter. Past employees, family and friends of all M.Campbell & Co stores, Campbells Rural Supplies and Gampbells Garages right throughout the Upper Hunter are invited to this evening of good cheer to celebrate this historic occasion and you place in the history of our area. 150 years ago, Malcolm Campbell established the first store in South Muswellbrook. Over the years, the business serviced every town in the region and provided a wide ranges of goods, products and services for over 100 years. Generations of locals were employed in the store or associated enterprises. When the business ceased trading in the 1970s, it had provided the expertise, training and experience for many current employees to launch out on their own and establish new businesses in their home towns.
This evening will give friends that go way back the chance to get together and recount wonderful times as fellow employees.
