Denman Cup DayIntroducing the Muswellbrook Race Club ‘Carnival Of Cups’ which incorporates the Denman, Aberdeen and Muswellbrook Cups during October and early November.  This initiative is designed to showcase and celebrate all that is great in each of these communities during a day of fun and excitement at the races.

In addition to being a fantastic country track, the Muswellbrook Race Club offers first class facilities. There are excellent betting facilities as well as the Ironbark Cafe and Subzero Bar for lunch and refreshments. The beautifully manicured gardens and shaded lawn areas ensure a great day out with family and friends.

The Muswellbrook Race Club member’s area is also an extremely popular function centre catering for Weddings, Birthdays, Business Conferences and other functions.

Ensemble Offspring

With over 15 years’ experience, Sydney-based Ensemble Offspring is Australia’s premiere new music group. The innovative ensemble has a reputation for adventurous programs that embrace unique repertoire and composers from Australia and abroad.

Artistic Directors Damien Ricketson (composer) and Claire Edwardes (percussionist) lead an impressive line up of versatile musicians whose wide ranging talents combine as Ensemble Offspring. This group, committed to asking “what if?”, relish an open minded approach to music making.

The Upper Hunter Conservatorium of Music is delighted to present Ensemble Offspring to residents of the Upper Hunter and beyond. Claire will be joined by performers Jason Noble (clarinets/percussion) and Bree van Reyk (percussion/accordion/drums) to present an imaginative selection of works that celebrate the diversity of contemporary classical music in a program that is enlightening and fun.

Bengalla Community Open Day

Bengalla Mining Company extends a warm invitation to the community to our Open Day where you can visit our mine site and view the history and progress of our mining operations.

There will be a large range of displays and activities for all the family. Enjoy a free BBQ, be entertained by Kyda Rock and have the opportunity to go behind the scenes on a guided bus tour of Bengalla mine.

Tours will depart every 15 minutes from the showground between 10am and 2pm (bookings are required on the day and age limits apply).*

*A parent or guardian must accompany children under 12. Covered footwear is essential for the mine tour. Minimum age for tour is five years old. For the safety of visitors and employees this event may be postponed due to rain.
